Globe Valve
A globe valve, , is a type of valve used for regulating flow in a pipeline, consisting of a movable plug or disc element and a stationary ring seat in a generally spherical body.. There are usually two halves of the body within the globe valve that are separated by an internal baffle
A globe valve,is a type of valve used for regulating flow in a pipeline, consisting of a movable plug or disc element and a stationary ring seat in a generally spherical body.
Globe valves can stop, start, and regulate the flow of fluids. Globe valves have a spherical body with a movable plug or disc element and a stationary ring seat. Globe valves are commonly used in high-pressure, industrial piping systems. The plug is also called a disc.[3] In globe valves, the plug is connected to a stem which is operated by screw action using a handwheel in manual valves
Globe valves have higher pressure drops than gate valves because the fluid's direction changes as it passes through the valve. However, this pressure drop is not a controlling factor in some applications.
